Many rural community development experts believe that whether rural community flourish in coming decades or become increasingly isolated may depend on paid, in how they exploit information technology.
The major obstacles to the development in rural communities are distance & dispersion people are far from information & opportunity as well as from each other. This geographic barrier can be reduced through practical application of IT in all possible area like education, health, agriculture, tourism, business etc.,
The next burning problem today is scarcity of power and environmental pollution. This leads to the Idea of Green Technology.
By looking into these aspects the main theme of "SITCON-2012" is decided to be "Computer, Communication and IT for Rural development in a Go-Green manner"
